Stop and check is this for real: Scams awareness week 2018
Scams Awareness Week runs from 21–25 May 2018. 
Australians will be urged to be on the lookout for threat-based impersonation scams by taking a moment to ‘Stop and check: is this for real?’.
Scammers may pretend to be from a government agency or well-known company.
Their aim is to scare you into parting with your money or personal information and if you don’t, they threaten you with fines, disconnecting your internet, taking you to court, arrest or even deportation.

How to report a scam and where to get help
My advice is if in doubt trust no one
If they give you an ID number don’t trust it’s real as it’s simple to make one up
If your worried and it’s from your internet service provider Ring them to ask if it’s true or false
That goes for your bank, electric company or any other company most of them will not ring you at home out of the blue
Don’t let them win
Simple thing to do is say I don’t have a computer and hang up
